Small Fire On ‘It’s A Small World’ Caused By Guest’s Phone Charger

A small fire broke out on the classic 'it's a small world' attraction at Magic Kingdom this week, and the cause was a very modern culprit: a guest's phone charger.

According to reports, a personal charging device malfunctioned on board the much-loved boat ride, sparking a brief fire. Cast Members acted quickly to put it out and, thankfully, no one was injured. Given how iconic the ride is, the incident could have been far worse.

It is a timely reminder to take care with portable chargers and power banks in the parks, especially the cheaper ones that can overheat.
