Indiana Jones Ride At Animal Kingdom May Not Open Until 2027

Fans waiting on the new Indiana Jones attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom may need a little more patience. A newly extended construction permit suggests that work on the ride, which is replacing the long-running DINOSAUR attraction, will continue into the summer of 2027.

The extension points to ongoing interior theming and set installation, the kind of detailed work that takes time to get right. Disney has yet to confirm an official opening date, but the paperwork gives us the clearest hint yet of the timeline.

DINOSAUR closed its doors after more than two decades, so there is plenty of anticipation to see what Imagineering has planned for its whip-cracking replacement.
