The “Thermal Detonator” Coca-Cola bottles sold at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and soon to be at Walt Disney World, have been banned by the Transportation Security Administration from both checked and carry-on luggage.

The collectible bottles and sought after souvenirs are sold exclusively at the Star Wars lands have been prohibited on flights as they look too much like replica explosives.

Items that look like replicated explosives are not allowed on aircraft as it is feared they will cause confusion for TSA screeners at airports security checkpoints.

“The design of this thing just looks cool,” Walt Disney Imagineering portfolio creative executive Scott Trowbridge said when the bottles were unveiled in April. “Kind of thermal detonator-ish. It’s kind of awesome.”

The language used on the bottles, Aurebesh, mimics the corporate brand and retains the distinctive twin C’s for the Coca-Cola logo. Coca-Cola worked side by side with Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm to design the bottles, in fact Coca-Cola and Disney are both listed on the patent for the bottle cap!
