It's the end of an era! Jaws at USF closed on January 2nd. It's rumored that they are going to be adding Gringott's and other things for the WWOHP (Wizarding World of Harry Potter) in that area. I love when the parks add new attractions and I know they have to do it to keep things new and fresh but I have to say I hate when they get rid of the iconic attractions. Jaws was one of the first big attractions and it's a shame to see it go. Between losing Jaws and Kong it just isn't the same there anymore. What do you guys think about the parks closing older attractions for newer ones?

Personally, I feel Jaws closing to be bittersweet.
I'm sad that I'll never get to ride it again, but it was really starting to show it's age (A bit like Kong was). It's also such an old franchise that I don't think it would have made commercial sense to invest the money that the ride would have needed to make it fresh again.
I agree about it getting old. Lately it seemed like it was down more than it was working.
I have never been to Universal Studios, but have always wanted to go! A friend of mine is actually down there now, and she posted a picture of her standing out front of the what used to be the Jaws attraction. I heard it was a pretty decent ride.
I liked it but I have to be honest and say that most of the time we went to USF I didn't ride it. It was not running quite often and you can get wet on it. I'm not much for walking around the park in wet clothes. I will miss it though.
I am all for new parks creation, seemed like the place was just getting more problematic and frequent disturbance to the visitors
I found it closed twice I have visited the ride as well, I don't know how can they afford such a down time in this economy....
It was just a really old attraction with old technology. It needed to be replaced but it was sad to see it go.
