Water Parks

Forums:  Theme Parks

What is everyone's favorite water park in Orlando? Mine is easily Typhoon Lagoon! A lot of people really enjoy Wet 'n' Wild but it's got too much concrete for me. I prefer grass and sand!

Fun Spot Expansion

Forums:  Theme Parks

I don't know if any of you have been to either of the Fun Spot attractions (there is one on I-Drive and one in Kissimee on 192) but they are a good alternative to the theme parks (and a lot cheaper). It seems that the one on I-Drive is going to be getting a lot larger. According to Fun Spot's John Arie Jr. they are going to be adding two roller coasters, water rides, smaller thrill rides, a restaurant and more. The expansion is going to be done in two phases with the first phase having an opening date sometime in 2013.

Bands, Brews and BBQ at Seaworld Orlando

Not quite as popular as Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando but just as fun is the Bands, Brews and BBQ at Seaworld Orlando. This great event is also included with paid park admission, also. It features a beer garden with craft beers from around the world, bbq (probably could've guessed that from the name) and some great concerts. The concert line-up for this year is:

Theme parks are not only good for enjoyment and rides, but some of the best food served at the restaurants are in these Theme Parks. Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando on Bonnet Creek Resort Lane is known for the Best Steakhouse!
